Applying Fluorescence Dissolved Organic Matter Spectra and Phytoplankton Biology Index for Assessing Urban River Quality

چکیده

The relationship between phytoplankton dynamics and dissolved organic matter (DOM) in aquatic systems based on fluorophore properties results poor implementation of methods for water quality monitoring. This study aimed to investigate the relation index estimate by fluorescent components assessment. research was conducted sampling urban river water, followed measuring biological during wet dry seasons. Fluorescence Excitation Emission Matrices (FEEMs) analysis combined with Parallel Factor (PARAFAC) identified three main fluorescence matter, i.e., a fulvic acid-like component (C1) humic (C2 C3), system, whether season or season. C1 mainly generated species, Nitzschia sp., Plectonema Navicula Pinnularia C2 C3 had less significant species. diversity Bacillariophyta stronger contribution release DOM than Cyanobacteria. abundance particular species can be used determine FEEM-derived matter.

Improved fluorescence excitation-emission matrix regional integration to quantify spectra for fluorescent dissolved organic matter.

The purpose of this short communication is to demonstrate the importance of numerical analysis and wavelength increment selection when characterizing fluorescent dissolved organic matter (FDOM) using fluorescence excitation-emission matrix (EEM) regional integration. A variety of water samples, representing a landscape gradient and different types of FDOM, were analyzed for their percentage dis...

Absorption and fluorescence of chromophoric dissolved organic matter in the Pearl River Estuary, South China

The Pearl River is a complex river network under the influence of heavy urbanization and industrialization. The Pearl River Estuary receives freshwater from eight major sources, each containing various pollutants. The spectral absorption and fluorescence properties of chromophoric dissolved organic matter (CDOM) in the Pearl River Estuary were studied during November 2002, a low flow (dry) seas...

Synchronous fluorescence spectra of dissolved organic matter (DOM) of algal origin in marine coastal waters

Naturally occurring dissolved organic matter [DOM) was investigated in a lagoonal system with the aim to study the origin and mixing of the Doh4 components. Water samples were collected in the Sacca di Goro lagoon (PO river delta, Italy) and analysed by means of different techniques, such as fluorescence, absorpt~on and dissolved organic carbon (DOC) measurements. Synchronous fluorescence spect...

Influence of dissolved organic matter on dissolved vanadium speciation in the Churchill River estuary (Manitoba, Canada).

Diffusive gradients in thin films (DGT) devices were used to investigate the temporal and spatial changes in vanadium (V) speciation in the Churchill estuary system (Manitoba). Thirty-six DGT sets and 95 discrete water samples were collected at 8 river and 3 estuary sites during spring freshet and summer base flow. Dissolved V concentration in the Churchill River at summer base flow was approxi...
